The Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Development Bureau invites you to " Tang Dynasty Winter Art Day " on 6 and 7 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. This exciting event features a spectacular lineup of performances, workshops and games, including Tang dynasty tea art demonstrations, magic shows, workshops on pastel art, balloon twisting, dinosaur modelling clay and games! Complete the activities to collect stamps and receive a unique, limited-edition gift! If you love live performances, hands-on activities and games, don’t miss the “Tang Dymasty Winter Art Day”!

Programmes highlights:

1. Tang Vogue Tea Art Demonstration

Discover the rich culture of Tang dynasty tea! A professional tea master will introduce the culture, history, tools and types of tea, and demonstrate the tea brewing process used in Tang dynasty.

2. Cursive Script of a Thousand Characters Classic

Can you decipher the cursive script inspired by Huaisu’s calligraphy, as created by Emperor Qianlong?

3. Balloon Twisting Workshop

Experience this fun workshop and unleash your creativity under guidance of tutors to twist your own cute animal balloon!

4. Pastel Art Workshop

Try this relaxing workshop and express your inner harmony, creating your own soothing pastel artwork!

5. Dinosaur Modelling Clay Workshop

Create your own mini dinosaur with modelling clay and celebrate the winter days with your dinosaur. You can get an extra stamp by folding a small gift box for your dinosaur.

6. Magic Show

Experience a modern magic performance that revives the splendour of "illusion". Don’t miss this captivating show, filled with illusions and imagination!

7. Twisted Balloon Animals (you must first complete the “Cursive Script of a Thousand Characters Classic” game)

Cute balloons enhance the festive ambience! Complete the designated mission to earn a chance to take a twisted balloon animal home! First-come, first-served while supplies last.

8. Tang Vogue Challenge

Search for answers hidden in the Tang Vogue exhibition! The exhibit captions will guide you through the challenge!

9. Your Snapshot Station (You must first complete the designated mission)

Record these memorable moments against exclusive heritage-themed backgrounds!

10. Make Your Own Badges with Relics and Monuments

Choose your favourite historic building or artefact to create your own badge!

11. Colouring Monuments

Choose your favourite monuments and colour them! Unleash your creativity to create a unique piece!

12. Guided Tours of the “Tang Vogue Beyond the Horizons: A Golden Era of Multicultural Integration and Openness” Exhibition
Join our guided tour to enjoy the “Tang Vogue Beyond the Horizons” exhibition to learn more about the history and culture of the Tang dynasty and Tang vogue, and earn a stamp upon completion of the tour.

13. Talk series of “Tang Vogue Beyond the Horizons: A Golden Era of Multicultural Integration and Openness”

Dr. WU Ding-hang, Edwin of Hong Kong Chu Hai College, and Ms. ZHU Gemin of the Xi'an Museum, will deliver talks on the architecture and social development in Tang dynasty on 6 and 7 December, respectively. In addition to enjoying the games and entertainment, you can deepen your understanding of the history of Tang dynasty. Please click here for details of the talks.

Rules for redeeming gifts:

Each activity has its own exclusive stamp. You will get one activity stamp after completing each activity.

Collect five stamps and redeem them for a gift at the Gift Corner! Collect nine or more stamps to get an extra gift!

Each game card is limited to one gift in each of the two stamp tiers.

Participants can continue to collect the required number of stamps on the second day of the event by using the same game card.

Please keep your game card safe.

The gifts are available while the stock lasts. The Antiquities and Monuments Office reserves the rights to make the final decision in the case of a dispute.
